Pilates relieves pain from injuries and chronic conditions while avoiding the risks of high-impact exercise. Over time, it helps you move with greater ease and confidence, turning effort into habit and creating lasting positive change. It is a method built on precision. Each movement is intentional, designed to support balance, alignment, and efficient movement patterns throughout the body. When taught correctly, Pilates can be transformative. When it isn’t, its benefits diminish — and the risk of strain or injury increases.
The studio is fully equipped to offer private, duet, and trio Reformer sessions, as well as one-on-one sessions on the Cadillac, Barrel, Mat, and Chair. Because no two bodies are the same, effective Pilates is never one-size-fits-all. Each piece of apparatus is designed with a specific purpose, offering distinct feedback, resistance, or assistance. Certain bodies respond better to the stability of one apparatus, while others benefit from the mobility challenge of another. This variety allows the instructor to choose the most appropriate tool for each individual’s goals.
I studied Art at Boston University and Laban Movement Analysis at Hampshire College. I’m a licensed massage therapist with a master’s certification (MMT) in Myoskeletal Alignment Technique®. Helping people move better is the motivating factor behind everything I do.
I taught Mat Pilates at local fitness centers before joining Resolution Physical Therapy in Atlanta, where I learned to combine structured movement with traditional therapy to support recovery. In 2007, I earned my NCPT and opened Discipline Pilates Studio, where I continue to teach equipment sessions, practice massage therapy, and lead teacher training.
