Bodywork
Bodywork therapy combines hands-on therapeutic touch with guided movement on specialized Pilates equipment. During each private session, clients actively participate in controlled exercises while receiving precise adjustments that provide feedback about how their body is moving.
Bodywork therapy helps clarify what is happening in the body during traditional Pilates exercises, creating a more informed practice. Unlike massage, this is not passive. Unlike a traditional Pilates session, it involves a higher level of hands-on guidance and physical feedback.
Because this method requires active participation, it may not be the first step for everyone. For some people, building a foundation with Pilates or beginning with massage therapy may be the best first step.
